Q

I am writing a paper for Dr. Bender. It is chicago/Turabian style. Do I use quotation marks around the text I'm using form my sources?

How do I "Cite" the text I am using form my sources?

Answer

Use the attached links to help you. The sample papers will show you which quotes need quotation marks and which do not. Block quotations do not need quotation marks. All other quotes do.

Also, the links to citing sources, i.e. books, articles, websites, should assist you as you prepare your footnotes and bibliography. Dr. Bender does not allow parenthetical citations in his papers.

If you need more direct assistance, please schedule a time to bring your paper into the library for me to help you.

Thank you,

Ms. Long,
